Sapphire Beach House

Built on the side of a hill, the Sapphire Beach House was a challenging yet rewarding design process.  The outcome is spectacular, mostly due to the location and scenery but also because of the way the site and client's wishes dictacted the outcome.  The design was based around a concrete core structure with a light weight wing spanning off the end like a ship's bow suspended mid air.  Some nautical themes carried through the design such as the round port hole windows, the boat shaped deck facing out to sea and the use of sails to provide shade and shelter.
