This home design is compact yet does not feel in any way cramped due to the clever layout and clean lines. The styling takes cues from modern styles such as the soaring skillion roof and the framed entry feature. The front balcony also gives great style to the home so that you would be the envy of your neighbours without being too extravagant.
The internal spaces are simple, free flowing and modern.
Construction is simple timber framing all around with lightweight cladding. It would be built up on posts so the impact on the surrounding environment would be minimal or could easily be built on a slab if the site is flat, with a separate garage or carport.
The materials are mostly rendered or texture coated flat sheet with some feature tiles on the blade wall, corrugated colorbond for the roofing and some steel or potentially timber posts. The windows shown are powdercoated aluminium.
The floor area is small yet the spaces within are well laid out and cleverly arranged to minimise any waste. The open plan living areas and the relationship to the deck make it feel spacious.
If built on a sloping block, there would be space under the house for a carport and perhaps a built in storage shed.
Floor area is a compact 108.15 sq m and deck 25.49 sq m. There is no garage included in this design however a freestanding garage could easily be added to your block. If the block is sloping a carport and locker could be placed under the house at 57.14 sq m.
Based on estimated square metre rates of $1200 – $1800 for internal areas and covered decks, this house could cost in the range of $160,368.00 to $240,552.00 (not including carport), depending on site conditions, level of fittings and fixtures and your local building market.
